Multiple Issues

Issues:
1.) The significant issues: I have been trying to register for the Massachusetts Drinking Water Treatment Grade 2 Exam for about three months now. To sit for the exam, you are required to submit an application and get approved prior to scheduling the exam.

This can be done over the phone or online. I had to do the same type of application to take the Massachusetts Water Distribution Grade 2, for which I was immediately approved. I am being told by customer service representatives at PSI that my application is currently 'in process.' It seems like it cannot be processed or rejected; it just stuck in limbo. I have reached out to PSI many times trying to get a resolution or, at a minimum, an update.

They said that they couldn't manually do anything to get it processed. They can't start a new application. When they say they will call back, they don't. Emails go unanswered.

I've been hung up on while on hold multiple times. This issue is costing me money, and this is my career, my livelihood.
2.) I was told that one of my exams was cancelled due to lack of staff with less than 24 hours' notice. I was actually notified of this while I was at the testing center for another exam. I was told to call a number to reschedule.

PSI informed me that this situation was under investigation, and I could not reschedule the exam until the end of the investigation, or I could pay again to reschedule immediately. If I were to pay to immediately reschedule, then they would cease the investigation, and I would not be refunded. Half an hour before my now cancelled exam was supposed to be scheduled, I received a call saying that a proctor was on their way to proctor exams. I told the person that my plans had changed, and I had stopped studying for the exam, so I was not as prepared as I wanted to be.

At the last minute, I decided to drive an hour to the site to take the exam. The proctor was rude and seemed annoyed that I was there at a later time than he had expected.
This whole thing seemed suspicious and unfair to me.

I was given poor service (especially with the cancellation less than 24 hours' notice) and asked for additional payment to improve it (allowing me to take the exam). What a racket!

The AMT general exam is a 60-question exam in which you can get 18 questions wrong and still pass with a 70%. There are people getting 15-16 questions wrong on this exam and somehow only getting graded at 62%.

There have even been multiple tests where the same number of questions were answered incorrectly, yet different grades were given. When you call PSI, they either put you on hold for 30 minutes and hang up or they transfer you through five different representatives who can't seem to answer any questions you've asked.

PSI exams is a terrible company. The customer service is terrible, the testing program is terrible, and the fact that they're obviously in it for the money is terrible.

Predatory, non-transparent testing protocol. PSI the WORST testing company EVER!

I recently took PSI Oregon Broker exam. I am a good tester and passed the national exam no problem. With the State version, i found a lot of questions phrased in a convoluted way, even a native English speaker like me had trouble understanding; let alone non-native speakers.
I took the test FOUR times, each time missing it by one point. When i asked to see where I failed (so i can study and improve), they refused to share the score with me. Instead reommending I buy their exam prep.
I esclated it to the Oregon State RE Board, where they told me the areas to study up and improve. I studied for another 4 hours, but the testing results were similar- missed it by 1 point.
PSI writes their own tests, not even the Oregon Board knows what it contains. I have spoken to customer service, ZERO help.
Here is my take away:
If you buy a STATE test prep- download it immediately because you can't get another copy.
DO NOT do the virtual exam- the proctors are *** My first exam was virtual- 45 min into checking my environment, the proctor disappeared and another one showed up, another 45 min of camera panning every single surface of my room. trust me, drive to the test site and you'll finish sooner.
If you feel like the questions are trick questions (more about understanding the phrasing than the RE concept), SPEAK UP!!! $75 per test plus practice exam fees- ka-ching! PSI wants you to come back and take the test over and over...they get rich from it, with no accountability to even the State Board of RE.
I'd be down to file a class action suit against PSI for predatory practices. We have a right to know what we got wrong, so we can improve. Isn't that the whole point of testing? To be a licensed professional who understand the topics the way it was meant to be understood. Not a bunch of trick questions intended to trip you up so they can make $$ from re-testing fees.
PSI - the VERY WORST, least Professional testing outfit I have encountered in my almost 6 decades of life, across 4 continents and 5 countries. THE WORST!!!

PSI Exams is absolutely horrible. I can’t believe this is a national, state licensing facility. What a joke. It has made me lose all interest in the insurance field. I do not trust this company, and will not go any further with them.

They can better direct people with complaints to the right department. I wasted gas driving and hour and a half to come take this test and they didn't even have the decency to call or email me that they were going to be closed. This is very unprofessional especially being a state run facility.
